Sarah Melgen

Research Scientist I

Sarah Melgen has been a Research Scientist I at CATEA since January of 2014. Prior to working at CATEA, she graduated from Emory University with a Masters of Public Health. While pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design at Georgia Tech, she was exposed to evidence-based design research in Jonathan Sanford’s Universal Design course, and is grateful she was able to return to Georgia Tech to start her career working in assistive technology research.

Her focus is on integrating her research training in public health with her education and experience in industrial design, and has been able to seamlessly pursue these fields on her current projects at CATEA.
